What can the importer do?

An importer of foodstuff can demand that there is less campylobacter and salmonella in the imported foodstuff.

The food business and thereby also the foodstuff importers are responsible for the food safety of their foodstuff.

An importer can be updated via the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration’s list of firms that deliver shipments of foodstuff with salmonella and campylobacter to such a degree that it is hazardous to health and are therefore withdrawn from the market. The firms on the list are asigned to even more control.

You can see the list of the firms here.
