Avoid salmonella

hygiejne
If you want to avoid salmonella, you have to thoroughly cook mince meat and poultry. You should, moreover, use pasteurised eggs for dishes that are not warmed thoroughly. It is, furthermore, important to carefully wash vegetables.

Finally, you should always separate raw meat from your food and use separate kitchen tools for e.g. raw meat and other ingredients – because bacteria easily spread from e.g. raw meat or raw eggs to other foodstuffs. Kitchen tools not properly cleaned can also spread bacteria.

Salmonella can survive in dried up leftovers if the cleaning has been insufficient. Salmonella can therefore be very difficult to exterminate.
