The nationwide salmonella typhimurium U292 outbreak
The work on discovering the cause of the nationwide salmonella typhimurium U292 outbreak continues. The source of infection is still unknown and there are constantly new cases. The total amount of registered infected is more than 1,000 people.
Den Centrale Udbudsgruppe (the Central Outbreak Group) assembled by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, Statens Serum Institut and the National Food Institute at the Danish Technical College is still keeping us up to date on the elucidation of the nationwide salmonella outbreak, which began in February 2008.
