From farm to fork
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) is part of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. DVFA deals with food safety and health from farm to fork.

DVFA has approximately 1870 employees and handles development, co-ordination and the formation of rules and regulations.

A Meat Inspection Unit is part of the head office, and the Food control and veterinary inspection are handled by two regional veterinary and food administration centres.
